Long before Covid-19, Canada’s business community, predominantly due to the media, focused on the barriers and challenges to economic growth and opportunity experienced by Indigenous communities in Canada and their businesses.
The reality, however, is that the economic opportunity working with and in partnership with Canada’s indigenous people is unprecedented.

We have launched our national economic inclusion network in an effort to illuminate this opportunity, to create an environment for success, and to facilitate engagement with both the private and public sectors. Igniting the imaginations of our business community we will truly define what is possible!
Government Support & ITFC
As the Government of Canada works to support Canadians through the gradual reopening of the economy after the COVID-19 pandemic, access to resources for business will be of paramount importance to helping everyday Canadians get back on their feet, move forward with their businesses, and provide essential services for our country.
The rationale for this inclusion initiatives supports the Indigenous Economic Institutes’ logic that a 2-3% increase in the engagement of indigenous businesses with Canada’s private sector would further generate an additional $12 billion in the Indigenous economy.
As capacity within the Indigenous business community grows through opportunity and collaboration so does the realization of the 5% goals of Indigenous participation in Government of Canada Procurement.
Sweat lodge Technologies conceptualized ITFC in order to increase its focus on the micro and macro development that this network is 100% committed to providing.
Members have access to training solutions, facilitation services, and collective insights to further establish all varying sectors of community, organizational and corporate memberships, with supporting government ties to continue the growing ITFC’s communicative system.
Our inclusion platform advocates that income is one of the most important social determinants of health and in so doing we aspire to create one additional job for the 50,000 plus Indigenous businesses in Canada, contributing potentially an additional $2 Billion dollars of income impacting significantly the individual and overall health of Indigenous communities all across Canada.
